Polestar almost becomes a tuner again

With the update option for the drive, Polestar is going back to its roots. The sporty Volvo offshoot was the Swedes’ in-house tuner before it was positioned as its own brand. Founded in the 1990s as a racing team, the company has increased the performance of numerous Volvo models over the years upon request. The tuning division has been an independent subsidiary of Volvo and its Chinese shareholder Geely since 2017. In 2018 the joint venture showed its first vehicle with the Polestar 1.
