Using figures from Avere France, Automobile Propre has compiled a list of the most registered electric cars during the month of October.
With 10,214 units sold, the electric car represented nearly 6% of new vehicle registrations during the month of October. With 2,507 units sold, the Renault ZOE retains the leading position on the French market while the Peugeot e-208 finishes 2th with 1988 registrations. The two French city cars alone have nearly 4,500 registrations, or nearly 45% of segment sales.
The third place is played in a handkerchief since three models are neck to neck. Tied, the Kia e-Niro and the new Renault Twingo ZE end the month with 678 registrations, closely followed by the electric Hyundai Kona, which has sold 627 copies. Also well ranked, the Volkswagen ID.3 has 524 registrations.
On the way to 100,000 registrations in 2020?
In total, more than 80,000 electric cars have been registered in France since the start of the year. If the market remains above 10,000 copies per month in November and December, the 100,000 unit mark has a good chance of being crossed.
