These are the sports highlights in September on Sky

September makes the hearts of sports fans beat faster! You can look forward to the Bundesliga, the second division, the UEFA Champions League, the DFB Cup, the Premier League, Formula 1, golf and tennis. We’ll tell you which highlights await you in September and how you can watch the sport on Sky *.

The Bundesliga on Sky

The new Bundesliga season starts on September 18th! Sky * shows 266 Bundesliga games again this season. As always, you will see all the games live and exclusively on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. in the Original Sky Conference. You can of course also watch the Saturday games at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and the Sunday games at 3:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. individually. By the way, you always enjoy two top games per game day in UHD / HDR.

The Sky highlight of the first day of the match: Borussia Dortmund will play Borussia Mönchengladbach on September 19th.

By the way: DAZN * will broadcast the Friday games at 8:30 p.m. exclusively. You can only watch the opening match between FC Bayern Munich and FC Schalke 04 on September 18 on ZDF.

The new season in the 2nd division

The second division also starts on September 18th this year. Sky * shows you all games live and exclusively – you can watch the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday individually or in the conference, there is no conference on Mondays. In addition, Sky Q shows you the top game of the day in UHD!

At the start of the season there is a highlight to be seen right away: On September 18 at 6:30 p.m. the Bundesliga relegated Paderborn will play against Hamburger SV.

The DFB Cup

The DFB Pokal will start its first round again on September 11th. Sky * shows you all 32 games live as single games and in the original Sky conference. You can find 30 games exclusively on Sky, you can also watch two top games on ARD and Sport1.

Some highlights of the first round of the DFB Cup: 1. FC Nürnberg against RB Leipzig (on September 12th at 3:30 pm), Dynamo Dresden against Hamburger SV (on September 14th at 6:30 pm) and Würzburger Kickers against Hannover 96 ( on September 14th at 6:30 p.m.)

The 2020/21 Champions League

The premier class starts its new season on September 22nd. The playoffs will take place on September 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th and Sky * will of course show you all the games of the four game days. The first matchday of the group stage awaits you on October 20th.

By the way: The UEFA Super Cup will take place on September 24th at 9:00 p.m. There, the Champions League winner FC Bayern Munich will meet the Europa League winner FC Sevilla.

The Premier League on Sky

The Premier League will also continue in September. From September 12th, Sky * will show you all games exclusively. 232 of them live, the other games are shown with a time lag. And the top game on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. is usually shown in UHD.

Tennis at Sky

At Sky * you can watch an ATP 1000 Masters and an ATP 500 tournament live and exclusively. Then there are the U.S. Open and French Open – these are, however, broadcast via Eurosport. Until September 13th, the U.S. Open the first Grand Slam tournament after the Corona break. And from September 14 to 21, the Internationali BNL d’Italia will be played in Rome.

It continues in golf too

Sky * shows you a total of four golf tournaments on the European Tour, three tournaments on the PGA Tour and the U.S. Open live and exclusive. From September 17th to 20th, it’s off to New York to join the U.S. Open. And instead of the Ryder Cup, the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open will be held from September 24th to 27th.

Formula 1

Sky * shows you all Formula 1 sessions live and without commercial breaks. You can also see all races and most qualifying sessions in UHD. The Tuscan Grand Prix will take place in Mugello from September 11th to 13th. Then from September 25th to 27th, the Russian Grand Prix will go to Sochi.

So you can see the sports highlights

In order to be able to watch these sports highlights in September, you need either a Sky Q * or a Sky Ticket * subscription.

At Sky Q * you can choose between the sports package and the Bundesliga package – or you can combine both. In any case, the entertainment package from Sky is included. The Bundesliga package shows you games of the Bundesliga and all games of the second division live. With the sports package you can look forward to the UEFA Champions League, the DFB Pokal, the Premier League, Formula 1, handball, tennis and golf.

Sky Ticket * gives you the choice between the Supersport Ticket and the Sport Ticket – and of course you can also combine both tickets here. With the Sport Ticket you can see the conferences of the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga, the DFB Cup, the Premier League, conferences of the Champions League, Formula 1, handball, tennis and golf. With the Supersport Ticket you also have access to the individual games of the Bundesliga, the second division and the Champions League.
