Microsoft may have accidentally leaked the name of the next major Windows 11 version.

After the release date for Windows 11 22H2, the first major feature update for Windows 11, was leaked a few days ago, the name now seems to be set. This is reported by the US IT news magazine Windowslatest.
And the name is…
So far we have always referred to the fall update as “22H2” or as “Sun Valley 2”. Microsoft has not yet revealed the official name. But in the Get Started app, also known as the Tips app, which you can access from the Start menu and which Windows introduces you to, users occasionally found a hint about the name of the upcoming feature update after starting the app. It read: “You’re now running the Windows 11 2022 Update! Read on to discover new features and set things up just how you like”. discover features and set everything up to your liking).
According to Windowslatest, this message no longer appears. The button in the autumn update is said to have delivered no information about the new features of the autumn update.
Microsoft has not yet officially confirmed the name “Windows 11 2022 Update”.
Release date is set
What is certain, however, is that build 22621 is the release-to-manufacture candidate of the Windows 11 fall update. Also, it’s quite likely that the “Windows 11 2022 Update” (if that’s what it’s called) will be released on September 20, 2022.
