The jury also pointed out that the Rabobank executive dares to be vulnerable and then wants to share this with others. The other two finalists were Marit van Egmond, director of Albert Heijn Ahold Delhaize, and board member Ans Rietstra of ProRail.
‘Happiness of the employees’
The Financieel Dagblad writes that Vos is ‘working on the happiness of the employees’. She makes an effort ‘to give everyone a chance and not to exclude anyone’. An example: “She has recruited 60 refugees with residency status for a position at the bank,” the newspaper writes.
The director, who has a heart on her sleeve, worked for KPN for a long time before she started at Rabobank.
Platform for female drivers
The election was held for the seventeenth time this year. The idea behind it was to create a platform on which female directors in Dutch organizations receive attention, are visible and can thus fulfill the important function of role models.
