Disney + is getting a serious upgrade tomorrow – Tuesday, February 23. The existing streaming service will then be expanded with Star. This gives you access to very new and old top series and films. Unfortunately, this expansion also comes with a more expensive price tag, but you can avoid that by taking out an annual subscription to Disney + today.
September 15, 2020 was a great day for all Disney fans in Belgium. On that day, the Disney + streaming service was launched in our country. Subscribers have since had access to the extensive catalogs of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic.
This range will be further expanded on Tuesday 23 February with the Star catalog. That’s the new name used in Europe for Hulu, an existing streaming service from the United States owned by Disney. Their catalog includes classics such as Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Desperate Housewives, Glee, 24, Modern Family, Prison Break, Family Guy, How I Met Your Mother, Lost and The X-Files. In addition, there are also very new series in production for Star.
Obviously, not all Star content is as kid-friendly as the current Disney + catalog. You will then also be able to close this part for children.
Save 20 euros
Unfortunately, more content also means a more expensive subscription price. From Tuesday, February 23, 2021, Disney + will cost 8.99 euros per month instead of 6.99 euros. For a whole year you pay 89.90 euros instead of the 69.99 euros that it now costs. However, if you take out an annual subscription today for 69.99 euros, you will only suffer from the price increase within one year.
