Most performances in the first week and a half of play are already sold out, distributor Gusto Entertainment announced on Monday. The film will be screened in ninety theaters from 1 June. “We would prefer to book extra rooms, but due to the corona rules and the limited number of performances, that is not possible,” explains a spokeswoman.
I See You talks about a detective investigating the mysterious disappearance of a boy in a small American town. Another film that does remarkably well in the presale is Jachterwachter, the duo’s first cinema title Cow funk. All pre-premieres on June 8, 9 and 10 are now sold out.
Cinema operator Pathé has already sold more than 50,000 tickets for the first week and a half after the reopening. By the way, rooms quickly fill up, because no more than thirty visitors per film are welcome due to the rules of the corona. Visitors must be on time, toilet use must be limited and after-talking is not allowed. Pathé hopes to be able to increase the number of visitors again in the long term; the current number of visitors is not lucrative for cinema operators.
