Christian Ghisler has revised the popular and extremely useful file manager Total Commander. The new version “Total Commander 10.50” offers a huge amount of improvements and innovations as well as bug fixes. You can read the German language changelog here and a complete English language list of all changes can be found on this page. Just a few examples of the innovations and changes compared to the previous version Total Commander 10.00, which was released in June 2021:

  • Showing the total bytes, files and folders to be copied already in the F5 copy dialog

  • Additional space to set the icons of the drive buttons, via Configure – Settings – Icons (Icons)

  • The “Files – Print – File Contents” menu now prints all selected files (after a warning)

  • New option “Copy the current file to the end” when canceling copying in the middle of a file

  • Lister: Zoom images with Ctrl + mouse wheel or +/- on the number pad, or by clicking percentage in the menu

  • Show track name and artist from a track’s tags (id3v1, id3v2.2, id3v2.3/2.4, ape, flac, wav, ogg and m4a)

  • FTPS/HTTPS: Support for OpenSSL 3.0

For Windows 10 users there is this innovation: On Windows 10 older than 1709 and older Windows versions, thumbnails that are higher than 240 pixels are supported.

Total Commander is a Norton Commander style file manager. It has many additional functions, for example it packs and unpacks zip archives, synchronizes directories (including subdirectories) and offers various FTP functions. Total Commander supports multiple languages.
