The first time the Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition at the PlayStation 5 Showcase, Capcom has already announced that details of a commercial version will follow later. Today this “came later”! Capcom announced that the retail version will be released on December 1st for Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. As already announced, digital publication will take place with the launch of the next-gen consoles on November 10 and November 12, 2020.
The Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be launched with new features, game modes and Virgil as a playable character for the new generation. The performance of the RE Engine should be even more outstanding thanks to additional next-gen features with Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition.
Faster, more real, more beautiful
Players can look forward to frame rates of up to 120 fps, play in 4K resolution, of course, and feast on lifelike reflections, shadows and lighting effects from ray tracing technology. Improved 3D audio effects should help players to accurately perceive enemies from above, below and from all sides.
In terms of content, fans can look forward to new modes such as “Legendary Dark Knight Mode” and “Turbo Mode”. For players who want to push their skills to the limit, each mode offers a new level of difficulty.
Fans looking for an additional challenge can deal with the increased number of enemies in the dangerous “Legendary Dark Knight Mode” – a new level of difficulty that keeps even experienced hunters on their toes by increasing the number of enemies to up to 11 per encounter becomes. Adrenaline junkies get their money’s worth in “turbo mode”, where they can prove their reaction speeds with up to 20 percent increased gameplay speed.
Also, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition naturally adds Virgil as a playable character. Capcom also announced that “all Virgil content” will be available separately for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PCs (via Steam). See the boxing arts of the next-gen releases below.
