In mid-May, Vivo had already announced its high-end smartphone, the Vivo X80 Pro, for Europe. Today, the manufacturer is now giving more details about the Germany release. The smartphone will therefore be available in Germany from July 2022. With twelve gigabytes of RAM and 256 gigabytes of internal memory, the device costs 1,299 euros. In addition to the protective cover and headphones, the scope of delivery also includes an 80-watt power supply unit. Different color versions are not planned. In Germany, the smartphone will only be available in black.
Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
The Vivo X80 Pro offers a 6.8-inch, 120 Hz refresh rate OLED screen with a resolution of 3,200 x 1,440 pixels. The Chinese manufacturer installs Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in the case. Other features include NFC, a jack, a 4,700 mAh battery and stereo speakers. Also on board is a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor in the display. This should cover a much larger area than conventional sensors built into the display.
Quad camera and Android 12
Vivo installs a quadruple camera on the back of the smartphone. This consists of an ultra-wide-angle lens with 48 megapixels, a wide-angle lens with 50 megapixels, a 2x zoom lens with 12 megapixels and a 5x zoom lens with 8 megapixels. A selfie camera with 32 megapixels is used on the front. For the mobile operating system, Vivo relies on Android 12 with the in-house Fun Touch OS 12.1 user interface.
