Oculus has been testing the new feature for a while, but it will be available to everyone from May 28. It should make the VR headset even easier to use.
At the moment you can use your hands in VR, but then you have to hold the supplied controllers while playing. The new tracking feature also ensures that each individual finger is tracked using the built-in cameras.
The Quest is the independent virtual reality glasses of Facebook subsidiary Oculus. The glasses do not require a separate PC to use them.
Magic potions and pets
On May 28, apps and games will also be released that use the hand tracking, including the game Elixer. In it you need to mix and stir a potion with your own hands. In The Curious Tale of the Stolen Pets, you help your grandfather find his lost pets.
Oculus will also be releasing two VR experiences with hands support on May 28: the interactive films Gloomy Eyes and The Line.
$ 100 million converted
According to Facebook, Oculus Quest owners have jointly spent over $ 100 million on apps and games for the glasses. Twenty titles for the headset have turned over $ 1 million.
