VW: all new models (2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026)

Full 70 new electric models by 2028: Volkswagen has officially announced this goal. By the end of 2022 at the latest, battery-powered vehicles are to be built in 16 plants and no fewer than 22 million electric cars will roll off the production lines in the next ten years. VW has also entered into partnerships with battery manufacturers in Europe and China. The group is investing more than 30 billion euros in development. The ID family is a cornerstone of the realignment: the first member to be shown in 2019 was the ID.3 compact electric car. In 2020 VW presented the SUV ID.4. Further VW ID variants are to come onto the market as luxury sedans, station wagons and as a Bulli revival. But the evergreens are not neglected either. For example, the new T7 Multivan was recently shown, the T-Roc is getting a facelift and a new Tiguan is also in the pipeline.
These three VW models will be important in the years to come
1. ID Buzz – the Bulli is going electric
Not just the design of the all-electric ID Buzz is based on the first VW bus, the T1but also the drive. In the new electric car, the rear wheels are also driven as standard, but with significantly more power. The most powerful MEB model currently creates 306 hp, but with all-wheel drive. It could also be for the ID Buzz. One can also be expected fully digital interiorwhich is likely to be carried over from ID.3 and ID.4.

2. Passat B9 – only as a variant
Even if the development of an electric version (which will probably be called ID.7) is in full swing, there is also a new generation of the well-known version with a combustion engine. The new Passat will developed with the next Skoda Superb, it will probably only be available as a station wagon and that will not be available until 2024. In addition to pure diesels and gasoline engines with outputs between 150 and 220 hp, there is also expect plug-in hybrids that can travel a maximum of 100 kilometers.

3. New Amarok pick-up in cooperation with Ford
Working with Ford, it is considered likely that the new Amarok will be on the Ranger’s platform. The saved costs could push the price below 35,000 euros. A first teaser suggests that the design could be much more aggressive than before. But not everything will change: the pick-up will probably be on a ladder frame again offered with different cabs, rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.
