VW T6 Multivan 4Motion used: after five years still more than 40,000 euros
Our photo vehicle in chestnut brown comes from a first owner. With a few amenities including Comfortline equipment, DSG transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive, the new price added up to a respectable 67,195 euros according to the Schwacke database in May 2017. After 82,100 kilometers, the Hamburg dealer Elbtor Automobile would still have to pay 43,480 euros.
A lot of money, but still a comparatively cheap offer! This T6 still makes a respectable figure and was not martyred either as a large-capacity taxi or as a transporter. The paintwork is neat, the high-sheen 17-inch Cascavel alloy wheels gleam without curb damage. And the lack of a trailer hitch (up to 2.5 tons trailer load!) has spared the drive technology in case of doubt.
On board there are no obvious quality problems apart from ill-fitting pillar panels and a folding table storage flap that keeps springing open. Annoying rattling noises are alien at least to this specimen. Passengers can feel like they are in a business lounge on board. There are optional refinements for them such as separate rear air conditioning, a WLAN interface and rear seats that can be flexibly moved on a rail system.
The T6 is the perfect all-rounder
But be careful: Only with the optional VW Multiflexboard in the trunk, which costs at least 600 euros, does the sleeping area that is coveted by occasional campers result! You can tell by some details like a Golf 4-style key T6 its constructive age however. Strictly speaking, it was a successful anti-aging treatment for the fifth VW Transporter generation, which was introduced in 2003 and thoroughly facelifted in 2009 (T5).

Despite the high prices, good specimens quickly find new owners
naked T6 Multivan under 200,000 kilometers with one year TÜV currently start at a whopping 32,000 euros. Nevertheless, good specimens find new owners record-breakingly quickly. Especially when the 150 hp Euro 6 TDI (EA 288) sits under the hood. It is noticeably more powerful than the basic diesel (84 to 114 hp), takes around eight liters on average and is considered more stable than the top version with 204 hp. So it fits perfectly with the cozy character of the T6.
