Wallbox: These regional grants are available for charging stations

Interest in Wall boxes is still big – over 800,000 applications have already been received since the start of funding, reports the Federal Ministry of Transport. If you do the math, you will notice: At 900 euros funding per box will be the 800 million euro funding pot running out of funds soon. But what then?
No need to panic: First of all, there is a realistic chance that the pot once again loaded with fresh money will – after all, this has already happened twice with each in the past few months 300 million euros. In addition, other regional funding programs support the installation your own charging station – also for companies. Example: the Federal states. Some offer grants for wallbox installation, which are even more lucrative than the flat-rate 900 euros from KfW Bank. How is the funding in North Rhine-Westphalia?

North Rhine-Westphalia promotes the expansion of the charging infrastructure with the Electromobility NRW program. There are also other financial options. For example, private individuals can claim 50 percent of the eligible expenses for advice and the concept for low-emission mobility from a professional.

Cities such as Cologne, Düsseldorf or Münster offer municipal subsidies for this purpose.
