Waze: plan the route on your PC and transfer it to your smartphone

Along with Google Maps, Waze is one of the most popular free navigation solutions. Not only the traffic jam warnings, but also extensive additional functions such as accident detectors or speed cameras make the app indispensable for longer trips. Routes can be planned much more comfortably in Waze than on a smartphone on a PC with a large monitor.

Planning a route on a PC with a large monitor is much more convenient, especially for longer distances, than using a smartphone app. Waze now does justice to this and offers you a simple synchronization option between the two devices within the “real-time map” below

Another advantage: Waze keeps the traffic jam under control and informs you when the optimal start time is.

In the web browser, you can plan the route you want with Waze particularly conveniently.
Before using for the first time, you must pair your computer and smartphone. To do this, a QR code will be displayed in the browser, which will redirect you to the Waze app after scanning. The coupling is now established. Then enter the desired destination in the browser and look at the possible route options. If you want to start right away, use the “Drive now” option. If you would like to be at your destination at a certain time, select “Arrival at” and enter the date and time.

After receiving a notification, Waze begins to find the route or determines the optimal starting time.
You start the transfer to your smartphone via “Save in the app”. A few seconds later you will receive feedback from the app about the new route and, if you have specified an arrival time, a suggestion as to when it is best to leave.
