Who has not already recorded a WhatsApp voice message and only noticed after it was sent that the sound was poor or that you simply couldn’t get to the point? Until recently, a trick was needed to stop voice messages from being sent straight away by simply closing the app in the middle of the recording. Whatsapp itself now offers a stop function. And that’s how it works:
First listen to and check WhatsApp voice messages, then send them
-
Open Whatsapp on your smartphone and then tap on the chat partner you want to send a voice message to.
-
Then tap and hold the microphone at the bottom right of the text field, a lock will appear. Then drag the microphone icon up to this lock.
-
You can now record a voice message without leaving your finger on the microphone.
-
A “stop button” has recently appeared at the bottom of the screen.
-
Once you’re done with your recording, tap the red stop button.
-
Now you can tap the play button to listen to the voice recording.
-
You can now delete the voice recording using the garbage icon or send it using the arrow icon.
And that was about it. It’s so easy to listen to your voice messages before they are sent and to check whether the sound and content are correct.
