Windows 10: clever tips for the calendar app

If you want to keep track of activities and events, use a calendar. There are many digital variants, but a calendar app is also integrated in Windows 10.

A calendar with a dynamic overview of activities and events allows detailed planning and is therefore an important component in a modern digital life.

The selection of calendar apps is large and may not make the decision easy. Why not try the calendar application built into Windows 10? It’s simple, easy to use, and offers some useful features that we’ve never seen anywhere else.

How to start with the calendar app

The calendar application should be pre-installed on your Windows 10 device, a download is not required. Click on the start icon and you will find calendars in the list of apps or enter “calendars” in the search bar.

The first time you open it, you will be asked to log in with a calendar account that is already in use, such as the Microsoft account. The app also supports Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), Yahoo and iCloud.

As soon as you have given permission, all of your events will be displayed in the calendar. All changes that you make elsewhere are always taken into account here.

By default, the calendar is set to the month view, but you can easily switch to the day, week, or year if you prefer.

A feature that many other calendar apps do not offer is the option to choose the number of days to be displayed or to switch between regular and working weeks. Simply use the drop-down list next to the icon at the top of your screen.

If you would like to add or remove an account from the calendar, click on the gear wheel at the bottom left

Settings and choose in the right column Manage accounts.
