The Windows 11 2022 update is here. But the best innovations come later. The File Explorer in particular is still waiting for its major improvements. The first thing to mention here are the tabs for the File Explorer. But you don’t have to wait long for the tabs, because Microsoft wants to deliver them as early as October 2022, as reported by Windowslatest, among others. Microsoft does not give any reason why the tabs for File Explorer are not yet included in the Windows 11 2022 update, but are only coming a month later. Presumably, there were still one or the other problem that Microsoft would like to solve during the tests in the insider versions.
Here is the overview of the improvements for Windows 11 that Microsoft will bring in October 2022
File Explorer
: In addition to the tabs that you can use to make File Explorer clearer, there will also be a new start page for File Explorer. This should give you quick access to your favorite and recently used files. You can also see what your colleagues have done with shared files via OneDrive or Microsoft 365.

Photos app:
Microsoft wants to revise this app in October to improve the way photos are searched for and managed. There is also a new, improved gallery function.
There are also further improvements for the copy function, for the taskbar and for device releases.

It is not known whether Microsoft will release all the innovations announced for October on the October patch day or whether it will choose a different date for this.
