Windows cleaning: do not delete downloads automatically
Some users report that their default setting is to delete files that are older than 30 days. Check this setting in your system and change it to “Never” if you wish. In our test system, this was already set in Windows 10 1909.
Windows 10’s memory optimization automatically deletes the files and folders under the “NewsABC.nets” folder. But that can be switched off.
How to control the cleaning settings of Windows 10: Select “Windows Logo -› Settings – ›System -› Storage ”. First check whether the slider under “Storage” is set to “On”. Important: The Windows 10 disk cleanup has also deleted the content of downloads since the update to Windows 10 1809. Make sure that the “NewsABC.nets” checkbox is not checked in the disk cleanup. You start the disk cleanup with the key combination Win-R and the entry of Cleanmgr.exe.
