The low cost carrier announces the third new base in three days.
Wizz Air boss Joszef Varadi was allowed to take a small tour of Europe this week: First, on Thursday, we went from Budapest to Larnaca and Milan, where new bases were announced. Salzburg followed on Friday, where there will be no base, but six new Wizz Air routes. After the city of Mozart, Tirana was on Friday afternoon, where the Hungarian low-cost carrier plans to station three planes in the future.
A total of 15 new destinations are to be headed from the Albanian capital in the course of July 2020 – specifically Bari, Basel Mulhouse, Beauvais (Paris), Berlin Schönefeld, Catania, Charleroi (Brussels), Eindhoven, Frankfurt Hahn, Hamburg, Heraklion, Karlsruhe / Baden Baden, Milan Malpensa, Prague, Rhodes and Turin. Tirana is the 30th base of Wizz Air – the airline has been flying to the Albanian airport since 2017. AviationNetOnline reported in detail about the airport a few months ago.
