From July you can fly to six cities that were previously not directly accessible from Salzburg.
After the low-cost carrier just inaugurated two new bases yesterday, the next announcement follows promptly: From July, passengers can fly from Salzburg Airport to Larnaka, Kiev, Bucharest, Belgrade, Tuzla and Skopje. So far, all six new routes have not been directly accessible from Salzburg.
This morning CEO József Váradi was expected in the city of Mozart. “With the announced routes, Salzburg Airport will be expanded by more than 200,000 seats annually and connect the city and the region with destinations that are not yet served,” the message says.
“Wizz Air is coming to Salzburg in these very difficult times! This is not only a very important signal for us and the market, but also underlines the value of this region. We have always had a great demand for direct connections to Eastern Europe, which we can now offer with Wizz Air. I am wholeheartedly convinced that all of the goals are well accepted by our market, ”says Bettina Ganghofer, Managing Director of Salzburg Airport.
