Xiaomi Mi Band 7 officially announced – the improvements

Xiaomi has introduced the new version 7 of the popular fitness tracker Mi Band. These are the most important innovations.

The Xiaomi Mi Band fitness tracker is very popular, not least because of its low price and generous equipment. Xiaomi has now officially introduced the Mi Band 7, which will be available in China from the end of next week. Details on the availability in this country are not yet available, as is the price. The latter should again be around 35 euros. At least in China there will be an NFC variant again.

Compared to the Xiaomi Mi Band 6, the AMOLED display has grown from 1.56 inches with 486 x 152 pixels to 1.62 inches with 490 x 192 pixels with an unchanged pixel density of 326 ppi. Screen brightness increases to 500 nits compared to 460 nits on the predecessor. The battery capacity increases from 125 mAh to 180 mAh, which means that the tracker should last up to 14 days without charging.

As an improvement, the new model now also offers all-day monitoring of blood oxygen levels (SpO2). Otherwise, the bracelet tracks heart rate and sleep. Bluetooth 5.2 is supported and there are a total of 120 instead of 30 sport modes.

Xiaomi has also given the Mi Band 7 a completely revised touch surface including many new dials. The Mi Band 7 is also waterproof to a depth of 50 meters (5 ATM). More information about the Mi Band 7 will follow as soon as Xiaomi has announced the fitness tracker for Germany.
