Xiaomi is currently selling the Redmi 8A directly at mi.com at a low price. Particular strengths lie in the battery, which is supposed to withstand standby for even a month.
The Xiaomi Redmi 8A is an extremely affordable entry into the Android world and is – thanks to the expansion of Xiaomi to Germany – currently sold directly on the manufacturer’s side for only 69.90 euros. The comparison price on Amazon is currently 125.49 euros. All you need is a voucher code: SWill10. The price even includes shipping from Europe, which means that there is no annoying import from China, which makes it a real bargain with a discount of around 36 percent. I tested whether the code worked and lo and behold:
Xiaomi Redmi 8A: 5,000 mAh battery
The Xiaomi Redmi 8A is equipped with a 6.22-inch display with HD + resolution. This leaves a lot of space for the controls on the screen and also ensures that the huge 5,000 mAh battery lasts for a while. Xiaomi itself promises up to 31 days of standby time, with an 18W power supply, the battery is full in just under two and a half hours.
You cannot expect infinite performance from the combination of Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 and 2 GB RAM, but for everyday use and even a few smaller games, that should be enough. There are also individual cameras on the front and rear with 8 or 12 MP. The memory has 32 GB, but can be expanded by up to 512 GB via microSD.
