YouTube is going to broadcast Nürburgring Formula 1 race for free

The video platform announced this in a press release. The game will be streamed in seven countries, including the Netherlands and Belgium. The race day, training sessions and qualifying will be broadcast on YouTube on 9, 10 and 11 October.

The YouTube channel for the race will broadcast videos about the race throughout the weekend, including previews, analysis and highlights. In the Netherlands, the comment is provided by Olav Mol, a Google spokesperson told Bright.

4 million subscribers

The streaming deal allows a large group of people to watch the race, at a time when fewer people can visit the circuit due to the corona measures. The race will be broadcast on the official Formula 1 channel on YouTube, which now has approximately 4 million subscribers.

Normally, F1 races can only be viewed on pay channels, which in turn deposit money for the broadcasting rights. Both companies have not said what agreement has been concluded for the YouTube broadcast, but it seems to apply to one race for the time being.
